Best of '06 - Movies

So like wut, a month after and halfish after the new year, I've finally decided to do a best of 06 list for Music and Movies. Lets start with All the Movies:
1. Little Miss Sunshine
This was by far my favourite movie of the year for several reasons; One, It had the fucked up family theme which I seem to have a thing for (Six Feet Under etc...), it was dark, it was funny, it was well acted and well scripted. Yet through the darkness and the sadness of the family you couldnt help but to laugh. It was sad at parts, and helerious at other parts. Its just perfect. For me, this movie is up there with Gardenstate.

2. Borat
I barely ever watch comedies, because they usually are so predictable, cheap, lame and horrible in general that make me wanna vomit instead of laugh. But Borat... man I freaking laughed... I did feel like vomitting at some parts too, but it was a good vomitting feeling. If you havent seen it, go watch it already!!! I can honestly say that its one of my favourite comedy movies ever.

3. Science of Sleep
I dont know how else I can say it, but quite simply Michelle Gondry is just pure jeneous. This movie is perfection to the maximum!! Its an awesome script, with amazing visuals, and then add my lovely Charlotte Gainsburg and its just... PERFECT!!

4. Marie Antoinette
I dont care what all of you say about this movie, I thought it was brilliant. Maybe not the best script, and I'm not really a big fan of Cristen Dunst, but every shot of this movie was like a painting. Its a visual masterpiece. Also the music, the weird new wave/dance music from 80's/90's somehow really worked with the whole movie. I LOVE IT!!!
